I just finished reading a book
tilted (Eye Hugs). This is the first hand account of what my sister went
through after being diagnosed with breast cancer. I knew that my sister
had battled breast cancer but I didn't understand what she went through
until I read her book. When I would talk to her during this time her
answer was always the same ( I'm doing great!) I now know that wasn't
the truth. I admire her more than she will ever know, I love you sis!

My
sister-in-law Charaleen is so amazing and brave. At the time she got
sick, she was the vice president of Swisher Pens Inc. (family business
with Chuck her brother). While she was going through chemo and its side
effect, she never once let us know how sick she felt. You could tell her
voice sounded weak, but she always made herself available to answer
customer’s emails inquiries and worked diligently on the business
website – making sure it was updated with new products, descriptions,
prices, editorials, etc. Chuck would call her and asked “How are you
feeling, sis?” She always answered, “I’m great.” A few years
later, when our daughter got as sick as she had been, Charaleen told us
that she had written a diary of what she went through and sent it to us.
Her story helped us to cope tremendously! Throughout her book, you’ll
see that she never loses her sense of humor even when sick. Thank you
Charaleen for writing this book.

I read the book couple of months' ago....I agree Charleen is a brave
soul and I'm sure this book will give people w/cancer HOPE and allow
them to learn how to cope. My daughter-in-law was here visiting
from Alaska and she asked if she could take it to read on the plane, She
has lost a brother and one or two sisters to cancer. She said she was
purchasing the book for friends/relatives who have cancer. THANK
YOU Charaleen for sharing your experience and giving lots of people
courage to "hang in there".

Your
book arrived from Amazon last week! I sat down and read it that very
afternoon. You are a very good author! Your great personality really
came out in your book. I am so sorry that you were so sick. Your book
will help other women know they can also survive this scary illness.
After reading your book I felt as if I just had a long visit with you my
dear friend!

Received Eye Hugs yesterday and couldn't wait to read. I read the whole
book at one sitting. Tears were in my eyes starting with the
introduction. I knew the subject was "cancer". I anticipated
the pain and anguish that was to come on the next page. But, as I
continued to read, I already knew and loved the main character, but love
her even more now. The plot saddened me and made me feel really bad that
my loved friend/cousin had to go through what she went through. I gained
an appreciation and loving thankfulness for her husband, who was right
by her side through her awful journey. Her daughter is a hero to me now
and her son most respected. What a support team she had in her corner
helping her fight the battle. I am so happy with the ending. God only
knows how many believers were praying. I was only just one. God answered
prayers. I am still thinking about your book and how much I loved
reading it. Can't tell you how proud I am of your accomplishment of
writing Eye Hugs.
